The children so enjoy getting outdoors to play! It is indeed very rewarding and just like our mothers always told us, it is good for us. Research
is revealing many important benefits to outside
play. Author Richard Louv(2006), explains in his
book "Last child in the woods Saving Our Children
from Nature-Deficit Disorder", that “stress reduction,
greater physical health, a deeper sense of spirit,
more creativity, a sense of play, even a safer
life—are the rewards that await children when they
have more nature in their lives.”
At Little Scholars our children enjoy the benefits of outside play everyday (weather permitting of course). Daily they enjoy climbing, swinging, digging in the sand, or playing an endless variety of imaginative games in our wonderful play yards.
